Series 17, Card 15 - MEMESTEALER

Series 17, Card 15 - MEMESTEALER was created by an unknown artist. The image on the card is taken from the cover of a 1990 board game expansion pack called Space Hulk: Genestealer Expansion. The board game Space Hulk was released in 1989 by the company Games Workshop. The card creator had a total of 8 cards accepted into the Rare Pepe project including what has to be one of the earliest known examples of a vIRL (virtual in real life) - PEPETSHIRT. In this case, purchasing the digital asset PEPETSHIRT entitled you to an actual tee shirt being sent to your home as well as a "receipt" in the form of another digital asset - GOTPEPESHIRT.

Series 17, Card 25 - THEVERYPEPE

Series 17, Card 25 - THEVERYPEPE was created by an unknown artist. This was one of two cards that they contributed to the Rare Pepe series. The other being THESKYPEPE.

The image on the card is a man dressed up as the character Gachapin from the Japanese television program Hirake! Ponkikki, and its succeeding series, Ponkickies. He is a green, bucktoothed dinosaur and is usually accompanied by his friend Muku, a red Yeti. The Hiragana roughly translates to "Bring it on", or "Come on" as it's written bellow. It seems that the human Gachapin wants to fight someone.

Series 17, Card 44 - GNUPEPE

Series 17, Card 44 - GNUPEPE was created by an unknown artist. It was the only card he or she contributed to the Rare Pepe Directory. The card is a religious caricature of Richard Matthew Stallman, an American free software movement activist and programmer. Stallman launched the GNU Project, developed the GNU Compiler Collection and wrote all versions of the GNU General Public License.

The image makes reference to the fact that Stallman sees himself as a self-proclaimed "Saint in the Church of Emacs"

Series 17 Card 39 - FIGHTPEPE was created by the artist known as 0jak. It is a mash-up of the video game "Street Fighter" and and the cutest martial arts fight ever captured on film. The original "fight" video can be viewed below.
