The image on the card is taken from the cover of a 1990 board game expansion pack called Space Hulk: Genestealer Expansion.arrow-up-right The board game Space Hulkarrow-up-right was released in 1989 by the company Games Workshoparrow-up-right. The card creator had a total of 8 cards accepted into the Rare Pepe project including what has to be one of the earliest known examples of a vIRL (virtual in real life) - PEPETSHIRTarrow-up-right. In this case, purchasing the digital asset PEPETSHIRT entitled you to an actual tee shirt being sent to your home as well as a "receipt" in the form of another digital asset - GOTPEPESHIRTarrow-up-right.

Series 17, Card 25 - THEVERYPEPE

Series 17, Card 25 - THEVERYPEPEarrow-up-right was created by an unknown artistarrow-up-right. This was one of two cards that they contributed to the Rare Pepe series. The other being THESKYPEPEarrow-up-right.

The image on the card is a man dressed up as the character Gachapinarrow-up-right from the Japanese television program Hirake! Ponkikkiarrow-up-right, and its succeeding series, Ponkickiesarrow-up-right. He is a green, bucktoothed dinosaur and is usually accompanied by his friend Mukuarrow-up-right, a red Yeti. The Hiraganaarrow-up-right roughly translates to "Bring it on", or "Come on" as it's written bellow. It seems that the human Gachapin wants to fight someone.

Series 17 Card 39 - FIGHTPEPEarrow-up-right was created by the artist known as 0jak. It is a mash-up of the video game "Street Fighterarrow-up-right" and and the cutest martial arts fight ever captured on film😄. The original "fight" video can be viewed below.

Series 17, Card 44 - GNUPEPE

Series 17, Card 44 - GNUPEPEarrow-up-right was created by an unknown artistarrow-up-right. It was the only card he or she contributed to the Rare Pepe Directory. The card is a religious caricature of Richard Matthew Stallmanarrow-up-right, an American free software movement activist and programmer. Stallman launched the GNU Projectarrow-up-right, developed the GNU Compiler Collectionarrow-up-right and wrote all versions of the GNU General Public Licensearrow-up-right.

The image makes reference to the fact that Stallman sees himself as a self-proclaimed "Saint in the Church of Emacsarrow-up-right"
